Hi, I’m Rachel. Previously a sign language interpreter, I became a full-time counselor in 2018. I spend most of my time with my friends and roommates just chilling out and being a general goofball. I decided to write “More Flashlights” to equip teens to recognize sexual abuse and grooming, and know what to do about it.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2011 with a BS in Child and Family Development, and finished my Masters’ in Family Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in 2015. I’m currently with a group counseling practice out of McKinney, and specialize in working with minors who have PTSD. Additionally, I counsel couples, the Deaf population, and teens.
